Patricia L. Cross, Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, passed away at IU Health Bloomington Hospice House on Friday, August 21, 2020. She was 85.

She was born to John William and Janalee (Hupp) Holland in Bloomington, Indiana on February 26, 1935. She married Homer Cross on October 16, 1954 and started a marriage that has lasted nearly 67 years.

Patricia was an accountant working for various employers with her last position being in the financial department of Planned Parenthood. Patricia enjoyed spending her spare time crocheting, gardening, canning, and traveling. Homer and Patricia lived part time in North Ft. Myers, FL for 23 years. She was an amazing cook and her baking won many awards at the county fair. She was an instrumental figure within the La Bon Amies Home Economics Club and the Institute of Management Accountant's volunteering hours and talents to making these organizations a success. Patricia worshipped faithfully at the Maple Grove Christian Church. She was the Matriarch of the family, loved and cherished by all that knew her and will be missed deeply.

Patricia is survived by her Husband, Homer Cross; Son, Gregory (Jeannie) Cross of Kansas City, MO; Three Daughters, Myra (Ernie) Bender of Spencer, Rhonda (Tim Gentry) May of Martinsville, and Michelle Cross of Bloomington; Twelve Grandchildren, Rachael Cross, Emily (Sam) Locker, Justin Cross, Corey (Anna) Litten, Casey (Josh) Beckman, Rob Bender, Josh (Lauren) Bender, Christopher May, Kalie (Chase) May, Adam May, Monica (John) Umunna, Max Van Deneede; Nine Great-Grandchildren, Andi, Alix, Easton, Eleanor, Christina, Christopher, Cayden, Ayden, and Ryland with the soon to arrive Princess, Amara; Brother, Robert Holland; Two Sisters, Norma Reeves, and Ethel Richardson and many Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Father, John William Holland; Mother, Janalee Holland; and Brother, John Holland; .

A Private Graveside Service will be held at this time with a Celebration of Life to be announced later. Burial will occur at Chambersville Cemetery. Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville is assisting with arrangements.
