John N. Poole, 84, died Wednesday, February 21, 2001, in Wichita Falls.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2001 in the Chapel of Hampton Vaughan Crestview with Larry Suttle, minister of Tenth and Broad Church of Christ, offiating. Internment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview.
A longtime resident of Wichita Falls, Mr. Poole was born October 12, 1916, in Whitesboro, Texas, to the late James Noah and Sophia Hayes Poole. On December 6, 1942 he married Mary Smith in Wichita Falls. A member of Faith Village Church of Christ, Mr. Poole retired in 1978 from Burlington Northern Railroad where he had worked since 1941.
Survivors include his wife Mary, daughter Dee Barnes; son, Ron Poole, all of Wichita Falls; son John Poole of Jacksonville, North Carolina; 6 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7-8 on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at Hampton Vaughan Crestview.
