Joan was born to Lavern Cecil and Bonnie Beatrice Clark on April 12, 1930 in OKC, OK. She graduated from Putnam City High School in 1948. Joan married Leslie Teag Barber on July 12, 1947. They had two children, Toni and Stephen. Steve and his wife Debbie have two children, Jason Barber and Jennifer and husband Anthony White. Joan has two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Avery Barber. She was preceded in death by her mother and father as well as her husband and brother, Danny Clark. She was a charter member of Bethany Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school and ladies bible class. She was a Putnam City School employee of the Central cafeteria. She worked at the cafeteria for 9 years, serving as the manager for 5 of the 9. Her hobbies included baking, sewing for the Children’s Center in Bethany and spoiling her grandkids. She enjoyed playing the ukulele with her mother and uncle Guy Bailey. Visitation will be Friday from 1-8PM at Buchanan Funeral Service. A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 5, at Bethany Church of Christ
