Abigail Huff was born in Tuscararus County, Ohio, September 18, 1827. Died at the home of her grandson south of Millersburg August 13, 1910 aged 83 years 11 months and 25 days. She was united in marriage July 8, 1844 to George J Wyant, who passed to the great beyond on May of 1887. to this union was born nine children. Seven sons and two daughters. Alexander of Missouri, William of Millersburg, Jacob of Dakota, George of Nebraska, Aaron of Millersburg, Perry of Nebraska. Those that have preceded their mother to the other world are; Mrs Ellen Parks, Lavinia Wyant and Irvin Wyant. She also leaved 35 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She had been ailing for some time being blind for two years. She united with the church of the Brethern or Dunkards in 1854 and was a consistent member until her death. On July 24the she told Rev. Hall that her time was short. Then August 2nd as her granddaughter, Zelphia Wyant went to call her to breakfast she could not speak. She was put to bed and the doctor called but could do nothing for her and she passed away on August 13th. Funeral services were held at the M. P. Church at Millersburg, conducted by the Rev Miller assisted by the Rev. Coffman of South English. After the ceremony was laid to rest in the cemetery of east of twon. She will be sadly missed, especially by the grandchildren who so faithfully cared for her.
