Randall “Randy” Gene Shelton, age 67, of Iberia, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on April 25, 1953, son of the late Paul Gene and Lena (Shackelford) Shelton.

Randy had a passion for music and in his younger days worked as DJ. He owned and operated Shelton Pump Services for many years, where he earned the nickname “Pump Man Shelton”. His favorite pastimes included fishing and attending sprint car races. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs.

He is survived by two children, Shane Shelton and wife Mary of Holts Summit and Shawn Shelton and wife Angelica of Camdenton; five grandchildren, Haliee, Kalebe, Giancarlo, and Paige; sister, Yolanda Graham and husband Larry of Jefferson City; stepbrother, Don Hancock; niece, Amber Graham; nephew, Dalton Graham; and numerous family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lena Shelton.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 11 a.m., on Friday, September 11, 2020, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.

Facial masks are highly encouraged for those attending the visitation and/or service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hickory Point Cemetery.
