Lois Elaine (Worland) Brooks, age 92, passed away August 28, 2020 with family by her side. She was born December 24, 1927 in Grand Island, NE to Albert and Marguerite Worland. She was a graduate of Grand Island Highschool. Lois met James Brooks in Nebraska where he was stationed with the U.S. Army Air Force flying on B-29’s, and they married in September 1946 after his discharge from the Army and celebrated 74 years together. They relocated to Mustang in 1971 with the FAA. She was born to entertain and loved to make people laugh. Her biggest passion was being a mom and grandmother, as well as a great talent for gardening, cooking, and decorating. Lois was preceded in death by her husband James (April 2020), her parents and sister Mildred Decker. She is survived by her daughter Lynn M. Harrison, sons James A. Brooks III and Todd Michael Brooks, grandson Cameron Brooks Harrison. There will be a private family memorial to honor the life and love James and Lois Brooks shared.
