Ellen J. Voss, 66, passed away January 23, 2013, at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, with her family by her side. She was born, December 2, 1946, in Utica, to Israel (Jake) and Alta Daniels Jacobson. Ellen graduated from Utica Free Academy, and Mohawk Valley Community College. She was employed with NY Power Authority for 26 years, retiring in 2009 due to ill health. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Voss of Syracuse; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Robert Babowicz, Whitesboro; brother Norman Jacobson and fiancée Donna Scarafile, both of New Hartford; sister-in-law, Helene Jacobson, Whitesboro; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. from the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, Forty Main St., Whitesboro, and 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
