Ava Maxine Allen, 75, of Millville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at the Kessler Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
Prior to her illness, she enjoyed playing bingo, casino trips and shopping. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Allen was predeceased by her only daughter, Mickey Ford; and her grandson, Frank Reynolds. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mulford "Mel" Allen of Millville; granddaughter, Melissa Davids and husband Cliff; three grandsons, Charles Reynolds and wife Cindy, Micah Reynolds and fiancée Renee, all of Millville and Josiah Ford of Delaware; nine great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jarrod, Cade, Raine, Felicia, Charles III, Angel, Mikaylan, and Franki, all of Millville; a brother, Charles Burgess and wife Barbara of Vineland; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery of Millville.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make a donation in her memory to William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital, 600 S. White Horse Pike, Hammonton, NJ 08037.
