Tommy Ray Bishop departed this life on 6 September 2007 after a very courageous battle with cancer. Tommy was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on January 28, 1945 to Mr. James Bishop and Loria White Taylor. Tommy went to school in the Nacogdoches School District. After finishing High School he enlisted in the Armed Forces. While in the military he served two tours in Germany, one tour in Vietnam, and one tour in Korea. He retired from the military in 1985, and went into the Civil Service, from where he retired in 2005. He is preceded in death by his brother, Manuel J. Taylor and stepbrother Willie E. Scott. Tommy leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Ursula, a daughter, Tolitia (Raymond) Berry, and a son, David Taylor, Gordon (Lisa) Speigle of West Easton, PA; 7 grandchildren. Brothers: James L. Taylor and Jesse L. (Maudell) Taylor of Nacogdoches; Roy J. (Katherine) Taylor of Belleville, IL., and Preston E. (Barbara) Taylor of Colorado Springs. Sisters: Artrue Anderson of Cushing, TX, Willie M. Taylor and Julia (Oneal) Leadon of Nacogdoches, TX, Step Mother, Margie Taylor, stepsisters Margie (Wythnis) Simon of Dallas, TX, Lola, Dorothy, and Lavern Scott of Nacogdoches, Texas, step brothers, Robert J. Scott of Rusk County, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm, Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home-West. A funeral service will be held at 10 am, Friday, September 14, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home-West. Interment will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be John Tabron, and Jerdan Simon. Honorary Pallbearers will be James L. Taylor, Jesse L. Taylor, Roy J. Taylor, Preston E.
