Phyllis Jean Venable, 97, of Beaumont, died Monday, August 31, 2020, at Beaumont Healthcare Center. She was born on December 8, 1922, to Birdie Bell Taylor and Guy Bosworth, in Leon, Kansas.
Survivors include her children, Joseph Michael Venable and his wife, Jane, of Fredericksburg, Virginia; John Edward Venable and his wife, Huiwen, of Waxhaw, North Carolina; and Guy William Venable of Beaumont; daughter, Sandra Womack and her husband, David Williams; grandchildren, Nickie, Christy, and Jamie; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph A. Venable; brother, Guy Eddie Bosworth; and grandson, Jason (Venable) Laurent.
A gathering of Mrs. Venable’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2020, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2020, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
