Johnny Mack Lewis was born on September 12, 1945 to his beloved mother Nellie Lavonia Cameron and father Ralph Lee McKenzie in Eufaula Alabama. Johnny Mack was born into an exceptionally large family that did not have much, but somehow always managed to find ends meet. At the age of eighteen, he attended Job Corp where he later graduated to start his career at the Swift Spinning Mill. Every day after work, he would go down to his beloved mother's house for a good cup of coffee and a home-cooked meal. For nearly 35 years he would continue to work at the Mill until his early retirement to spend more time with his children. In his earlier years, he was known for his skating, mechanic skills and just being an amazing dad to his seven children. In his later years, he was devoted to taking care of his mother until her passing. He was always such a simple man. If he had his smokes and a good cup of coffee, he was content. He enjoyed watching wrestling with his brother, Donald, every Monday night while eating some Captain D's fish. Johnny Mack was and still is truly an EXTRAORDINARY man, daddy, and pawpaw. He would rather do for others before himself and that is exactly what he did. Always giving his last dollar to others, being selfless and kindhearted while having the biggest smile on his face. He was so grateful for his family and just to be alive. He will forever be the backbone of our family. We love you so much, Daddy. As he made his transition into heaven, Johnny Mack was surrounded by his children and loved ones.
