Jeffrey David Roberts, 61, of Coleman, died Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his residence.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with Rev. Aaron Mitchell officiating. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home.

Jeff was born November 24, 1958 in Coleman to Vernon Edward and Dorothy Morgan Roberts. He grew up in Coleman County, where he attended school in Coleman and graduated from Talpa-Centennial High School and later attended Texas State Technical College. Jeff worked for the Coleman Electric Co-Op as a meter reader, retiring with 28 years of service. He then worked as a fleet driver in the oil field.

Jeff enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He often made his grandchildren laugh by talking to them using his Donald Duck voice. Jeff was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Roberts of Coleman; four children, Emily Roberts of Wichita Falls, Jerod Roberts of Coleman, Megan Drannon and husband, Adam, of Byars, Oklahoma; R.B. Lasater and wife, Cortney, of Ada, Oklahoma; his mother, Dorothy Roberts of Glen Cove, and one brother, Bruce Roberts and wife, Rhonda, of Lake Brownwood. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Sutton and McKindree Lasater of Ada, Oklahoma and one niece, Morgan Roberts of Odessa.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Roberts and a brother, Bradley Roberts.

The family has requested memorial donations to Firefighters Fund, c/o Coleman County State Bank, P. O. Box 940, Coleman, Texas 76834.
