Jean May "Gigi" Thomas passed away at her home, in Erlanger, Kentucky, on August 25, 2020. She lost her lengthy battle with cancer, but never her will. Gigi was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on September 10, 1935, to Arthur and Edith Plagge. She and her husband, Michael "Jack" Thomas, who predeceased her in 2007, enjoyed owning and operating Fairfield Travel for many years. The travel agency offered them the opportunity to take dozens of cruises and trips to Hawaii and Europe.

Survivors include: two daughters, Laurie (Greg) Lamblin, of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky, and Patricia (Dan Greenwalt) Thomas, of Erlanger; five grandchildren, Kaytlin, Thomas, Jordan, Devin and McKenna; three great-grandchildren, Billy, Brendan and Addison; and two brothers-in-law, David (Norma) Thomas and Joseph Thomas (partner Rob Woodruff).

There will be a private celebration of life. Her family honored Gigi's wishes to be cremated, and she will be together forever with her beloved husband, Jack.
