Jan Boyd tragically passed away on August 19th in the hospital after suffering a fall at home.
Jan was born on May 7, 1948 in Fort Worth Texas to Maurine Yeager. Jan married Jim Boyd on September 30, 1967 and together they raised their only child, Chris.
Jan was preceded in death by her mother and her mother's husband, Maurine Jay and E.V. Jay, her brother in-law Don Towery, and her nephew Bobby Towery.
Jan is survived by her husband, Jim Boyd, their son Chris Boyd and his wife Melissa, and her two grandchildren Alexandra and Christopher. Jan is also survived by her only sister, Jo Ann Towery of Mesquite, her two nephews, Leslie Towery of Mesquite, and Billy Towery and wife Lela of Royce City, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Jan was the most sincere, kind woman you could have the joy of knowing. She easily made friends everywhere she went, and had a genuine, heartfelt interest in those around her. She truly never met a stranger. She enjoyed going to watch her grandson play soccer and was looking forward to watching her granddaughter get married. She always looked forward to spending time with family on holidays, special occasions, and family dinners.
