Danny R Holland, Sr., passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020, at Prisma Health Richland. Danny was born May 10, 1949 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Charles Stafford Holland and Alice Beatrice Lee Holland.
At the age of eight, the family moved to Lake Murray in Prosperity, SC, and built and operated Holland's Landing, where Danny would work and live for the next 30 years. He graduated from Mid-Carolina High School in 1967, where he was a member of the state championship basketball team.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Virgil Lee "Buster" Holland of Spartanburg, Charles Ronald Holland of Gainesville, FL, and sister Sandra Holland Waters of Inman, SC.
Danny is survived by his children, Candy Holland Hayes (Rusty) and Dann Holland (Jessica); grandchildren, Sam Hayes, Carlee Hayes, Noah Holland, Emma Grace Holland and Sage Holland, all of Lexington, SC, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife, Helen Walker Davis.
No services will be held per Mr. Holland's request.
