Michael Edwin Mathews, 80, of Anderson, passed away on August 25, 2020 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. He was born on August 19, 1940 in Anderson, where he has resided since 2015.
Michael graduated from IUPUI, and he retired from Johns Manville Corporation in Waterville, Ohio
He was a great artist and loved art. He loved to fish, and was a wonderful cook.
Michael is survived by his wife, Carole (Troesken) Mathews; daughter, Jennifer L. (Oscar) Roark; daughter-in-law, Lydia Mathews; grandchildren, Jason (Hannah) Rogers, Andrew (Taylor) Rogers, Stephanie (Brian) Tabares, Stephen Roark; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey M. Mathews; and his parents, Samuel and Pauline Mathews.
Private graveside services will take place at a later date.
