Elizabeth Anne Adams Horvarter (Betty), age 92, passed away peacefully at her Wyoming, Michigan home January 15, 2014. She was born May 3, 1921 to Alice Virginia (Jenny) and Guy Court Adams of Olivet, Michigan. She graduated from Cleary Business College, and worked for Percy Jones Hospital and the Fort Custer Medical Facility. In 1947, she married Willis Raymond Horvarter. She was active in the USO, Republican Party, March of Dimes, PTA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls, and 4 – H. She was a life member of South Congregational Church and Fidelis Circle. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and picnics. She was a nature lover. She loved animals, especially cats, dogs and song birds. She loved dance music (played flute), and the visual arts.

Elizabeth will be fondly remembered by her children Anita Louise Horvarter, Grace Anne Aalto Rosenbaum and Roger Kent Horvarter; grandchildren Meredith Grace Horvarter, Morgan Lindsey Babson, Will Riddle Horvarter and Zachary Adam Horvarter; great grandchildren Harlow, Skyler, and Sunie; and her sister Dorothy Virginia Reid.

Siblings preceding her in death were Hugh Keith Adams, Kent Younglove Adams, Leland Warren Adams, Mary Isabel Adams, and Robert Donald Adams.
Memorial services will be held in May.
