MARTIN L. FARMER, 87, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at Golden Years Homestead. Born in Frankfort, Ohio, he served in the Army/Air Force for 3 1/2 years during World War II. He was a Service Director at Collins Oldsmobile for 40 years. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister to the home bound for over 10 years; a member of Historical Society and Civil War Roundtable. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Mary; daughters, Mary Lee (Laura M. Flegel) Farmer of Washington, D.C. and Suzanne (Robert) Gunderman of Eugene, Ore.; daughter-in-law, Ellen Farmer; grandchildren, Matthew, Mark and Naomi; and great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Morgan and Addyson. He was preceded in death by his son, Hugh. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Masses and Matthew 25.
