Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A private family service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Drumright, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Rosemary was born on April 28, 1929 in Drumright, Oklahoma to the late George and Lucille (Daughterer) Handley. She grew up in Drumright and graduated from Drumright High School. Rosemary married the love of her life Harold "Jack" Butler on November 28, 1946 in the Christian Church in Drumright and they moved to Cushing. Rosemary worked for Earl's Jewelry Store, selling China sets to Merle Norman. She loved fishing, boating and RVing with Jack, her sons, family and friends. Rosemary enjoyed getting in the yard and garden with Jack and making their property beautiful, earning Cushing's Yard of the Month on multiple occasions. Talking with family and friends, creating wonderful crochet and knitting works, reading and hunting treasures at garage sales were also favorite pastimes.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friends and will be missed.
Rosemary is survived by her sons George Butler of Drumright, Harold Butler of Grand Lake, grandchildren Jason Butler and Misty Callicott, sibling Connie Bogler of Tulsa, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her brother George Handley, sisters Grace Hardy, Katherine Craft and Jo Ann Shobe.
