Mr. Ray was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Coast Guard as a Seaman 1st Class.
For 26 years he had been the owner/ operator of Ray Burial Vault Co., retiring in 1990. After retiring Mr. Ray remained involved in the business until August 2016.
Mr. Ray was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and of Howard Gardner Post #281 American Legion. He enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, mowing grass, masonary, carpentry, wood working and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 7 PM with the funeral service at 7 PM with Pastor Eric Shafer officiating. Private interment will be made in Bald Eagle Cemetery.
