Larry Wayne Lucas, 63, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at home.

Mr. Lucas was born on March 15, 1955 to the late Clarence Hardy Lucas and Betty Jean McCoy Benfield. Larry loved hanging out, drinking beer with his friends and listening to country and rock music. He was a very happy and go-lucky person, always having a smile. He will be missed by his family and many friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jacky Ray Lucas.

He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Lucas Mosqueda of McLeansville; two sons: Timothy Wayne Lucas and Michael Shane Lucas, both of Greendsboro; two grand children; two sisters: Kansas Benfield of McLeansville and Brenda Burcham and her husband, Billy of Reidsville; brothers: Quint Benfield in Reidsville and Randy Benfield of Altamahaw; and several nieces and nephews.

There will not be any formal service or visitation at this time but will be a remembrance at a later date for family and friends.
