William J. King
Services for William Joseph King, 74, who died unexpectedly Monday at his home in East Dubuque, will be held at 2pm Saturday at the Egelhoff Funeral Home here. Friends may call after 5pm Friday at the funeral home.
The Herman P. Senft, of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, will officiate at the services, and burial will be in East Dubuque cemetery.
Born Nov. 9, 1879 in East Dubuque, Mr. King was a son of the late John and Elizabeth Kruser King. He married Anna Heller June 24, 1904. He lived in Dubuque until 1946 when he moved back to East Dubuque.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leo (Armella) Simon and Meredith Ann Kig {sic King}, both of Thorndale, Tex.; a granddaughter, a niece and a nephew.
He was preceded by his parents; his wife, on Aug. 11, 1926, four brothers and four sisters.
