Rosa "Irene" Stone Griffin, 84, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Thursday August 27, 2020.
A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Pettis and Rosa Toler Stone and had lived her entire life in Rockingham County. She was a home maker and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Monroeton Fire Department Auxiliary, and the Cross Key Extension Club. She shared her ministry by sending cards to the soldiers, the sick, the shut-ins, and her many friends and family members.
Irene was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosa Sue Griffin, a son: David Lee Griffin, great grandson: Jeremiah Hayden, brothers: Herman Stone, Jerry Stone, and David Stone, and sisters: Inez Stone Warf, Juanita Stone Stanley, Mozelle Stone Loftis.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years: James Lee Griffin of the home, daughters: Janet G. Brame (Freddie) of Reidsville, Nancy G. Wright (Ronald) of Hubert, NC, and Nettie Griffin of Germanton, NC, Brother: Clay Stone (Donna) of Reidsville, sisters: Marion Ridgeway of Halifax, VA, Marie Stanley of Greensboro, 12 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren.
