Jimmie Lee Gray Sanders was born June 24, 1940 in Shamrock, Texas. She passed from this life at 80 years of age on August 28, 2020, in Pampa, TX at Pampa Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 31,2020 at Shamrock Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.

Jimmie was born to Lucille Messer Gray and Ira (Jim) Gray in Shamrock, Texas. She grew up in Twitty and attended Shamrock ISD. After graduating from Shamrock High School, she attended Draughn Business School in Amarillo, TX. Upon graduation, she began working at First National Bank of Shamrock. She married Harold E. Sanders on November 17, 1967 in Wellington, TX. She then enjoyed her life as a housewife and mother to their only child, Barry Sanders.

Jimmie loved her family very much and loved helping with the Shamrock Ex-Students Association. Jimmie was a valuable member of the Shamrock Ex-Students Association for many years in which she excelled in whichever roll needed be. She spent her final years socializing and enjoying activities in the McLean Care Center. Some of her favorite pastimes included playing bingo, dominoes and visiting with family and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Jean Pitcock; and her husband Harold Sanders.

She is survived by her son Barry Sanders and wife Melissa of Shamrock; sister Jo Lewis and husband Tommy of Wellington; granddaughters Jocelyn Sanders of Amarillo, Ashlee Reeves and husband Tim of Shamrock, Emilee Walden of Canyon, Baylee Walden of Shamrock, and grandson Colt Sanders of Shamrock; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorials to be sent to the Shamrock Ex-Students Association.
