A funeral for James E. Barron, 77, of Rt. 2, Athens, who died Friday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Ray and Matthew Russell officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Classie C. Barran; four daughters, Mrs. Birdie Battles of Royal Oak, Mich., Mrs. Tony Guzzo and Mrs. Ann Sauers, both of Huntsville and Mrs. Claudie Joe Davis of Athens; two sons, Winfred Barran and Wendell Barran, both of Athens; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Brackin of Town Creek; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
