Marilyn (Bunny) Marks, 85 of Cortland, NY, born on May 31, 1927, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, after a short illness. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Wally Marks, and two daughters, Cristy Keeney and Cari Larnerd; also her loyal black lab, Samantha.

She is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Copper Foley, Johnson City, Cathy & Ralph Keeney, Cortland, NY and Cindy & Patrick Horvatt, Maine, NY. One son & spouse, Casey & Mary Kay Marks, Cortland, NY; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Bunny was born in Tacoma Washington, on May 31, 1927, to Catherine and Cecil Rogers. She was an only child and lived most of her life in the Greater Binghamton Area. She attended Syracuse University and received a degree in Nutrition. She married Wally Marks in 1948. Bunny was an outdoor advocate, spending most of her life enjoying skiing, golfing and gardening. She was involved with the Greek Peak ski school program for the past 30 years and was a member of Vestal Hills Golf Club, where she won many club championships. She played a major part in the start up of Walden Oaks Golf Club, in Cortland and has enjoyed many years of golfing there.

Bunny was an avid gardener and preferred to be outside all seasons of her life. In most times of the summer, Bunny could be found in the garden, or on the golf course, and in the winter, the best place to look for her was on the ski slopes.

A Celebration of Bunny's Life will be held Sunday, January 6, 2013, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Hope Lake Lodge, Greek Peak Mountain Ski Resort, Cortland, NY.
