David Lee McCoy, Sr. 82, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 in the comfort of his own home.

David was born on July 6, 1938 in Wichita, Kansas, to the union of the late Roy Olen and Mary (Graves) McCoy, Sr.

He was a graduate of Wichita High School. For many years he worked in the field of welding. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his children, David McCoy, Jr. and Mary Box; his siblings, Olen Roy "Mac" McCoy, Jr, and Linda Kay.

David is survived by his children, Ed Hebb and wife, Laura, of Mineral Wells, Texas and Linda White and husband, Aaron of Carthage, Missouri; grandchildren, Mike Ross and wife, Cristie, of Sarcoxie, Josh Ross of Sarcoxie, Edward Hebb and wife, Linda, of Wooster, Ohio, Johnna Hebb and Evan Hebb of Mineral Wells, Texas, Pat and Chole McCoy of Lancaster, Ohio, Stephanie Smith, Renee Kirkland and A.J. Box, all of Columbus, Kansas; nine great-grandchildren; his siblings, Charles "Chinc" McCoy, and Howard McCoy, both of Wichita, Kansas, Carol Hromek of St. Petersburg, Florida and Glenn McCoy of Wellston, Oklahoma; as well as a host of other family and friends.
