Loren Brucker
Loren Brucker, 68, of 803 E. Monroe St. died at 5:47 p.m. Tuesday at his home.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Beck Memorial Home. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 31, 1909, in Sibley, the son of Henry and Maggie Jackson Brucker. He married Dorothy Harper June 30, 1934 in Bloomington. She died May 19, 1973. He married Jessie Gregoire Nov. 24 in Las Vegas, Nev. His second wife survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fred Wade, R.R. 2; Sandra Strange, 105 E. MacArthur St.; step-daughter, Mrs. LeRoy Long, Owensboro, Ky.; two sons, David Brucker of 407 Raab Road, Normal; and Ronnie Brucker of 1116 S. Barker, and three half-brothers, Ron Jordine of 611 Harris St., Normal; and Floyd and Daniel Jordine, both of Anaheim, Calif.
Sixteen grandchildren and two step-grandchildren also survive.
He was a welder with Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 27 years before retiring in 1974.
