Carolyn J. Hopkins, 80, Columbus passed from this life on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 1:34 a.m. at her residence.
Mrs. Hopkins was born on May 23, 1940 in Columbus the daughter of Clarence and Evelyn Littiken Horn. On October 15, 1960 she married Herbert William Hopkins.
In 2003 Mrs. Hopkins retired from Cummins Engine Company after 33 years where she had been a Material Specialist. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and Yarns of Love. She enjoyed league bowling for many years, knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include her children, Kimberly (Bradley) Croddy of Columbus, Daniel (Darlene) Hopkins of Columbus, Warrie (Steve) Dennis of Franklin; grandchildren, Jordan and Ryan Hopkins, Marc and Felicia Croddy; great grandchildren, Vanessa Croddy; a sister, Emily Fivecoat of Tennessee; and nephews, Chris Fivecoat and Todd Fivecoat.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband in July of 2007.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Rev. Mark Teike officiating.
Family and friends may call for visitation from 9:00 a.m. till time of services at the funeral home.
Private graveside services will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery.
