Mattie "Sue" Emerson, 85, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on August, 14, 2007. Sue spent most of her adult life in Scottsdale, AZ. where many children were fortunate to have her as their school teacher and many others where lucky to call her friend. During her life, she enjoyed traveling, volunteering at the Heard Museum, watching baseball and basketball, sharing stories about her life and spending time with family, friends and loved ones. Her family wrote "Her generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to this family. She lived her life with integrity and filled those around her with her genuine smile and love. She will be greatly missed. Her spirit will continue in all of us". She is survived by her son and daughter, Charles and Sarah Emerson, grandson, Gabriel Ocampo, grandaugther and husband, Sarah and Steve Schlesinger, greatgrandson, Ethan Schlesinger, brother and wife Bill and Beatrice Martin and sister Betty Anderson. She is further survived by other family members and many friends and loved ones. At her request, services will not be held. Sue's family will be hosting a gathering to celebrate her life and share in the memories of her full and well lived life.
