Born in Savanna, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Hiram Wesley and Donnie Esther (Smith) Gardner. She married Jack Taylor on May 15, 1961, in Davison. A resident of Clayton, she died in Talihina at the age of 55. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jack Wesley Taylor; two brothers, Finous Gardner and John Gardner and a half-sister, Dorothy Hataway.
