Christopher Ransom Tracy was born in 1873, the son of Asahel Purnal & Minta Miranda Ellington Tracy in Shelby County,Indiana.
His brother & sisters were: Miranda June Tracy Shaw, Joshua Solomon Tracy, Charles Wesley Tracy, Sally Carol Tracy Cherry, Nnancy "Nannie Viola Tracy Linville, Elnora Tracy Steffey.

Christopher married Nora Rachel Fouty Tracy July 14,1901 in Shelby County, Indiana. Their children were: Emma Belle Tracy Purnall Jefferson Tracy Sr. & Mary Mae Tracy Whitaker.

Christopher died April 16, 1929 at his home. L.V. Hauk was in charge of funeral arrangements. Rev. Ernest Addison officated his funeral. He was buried in the Fountaintown Cemetery.
