On July 19, 2012, Ellen Rae Spicer passed after a long struggle with failing health.
Born in Sedan, Kansas on November 5, 1944 to parents Garvin and Helen Morlan, Ellen (aka Suzie) grew up in Spokane, later moved to the Boston area and eventually returned to Spokane.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, William; and sisters, Lois and Lavina.
She leaves behind sons David, Michael, and Daniel; grandchildren, Chelsea, Gage, Kayden, and Serenity, sister, Debbie; brothers, David and Dusty; and her life partner Thomas (Tommy) Kagi. She was known for her bright spirit, wit and warmth. Her wonderful smile touched many. Her fierce love of life and family reached out to all who were blessed to know her. Heaven is a little brighter and a little noisier now. You will be forever in our hearts.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held August 11th at 1:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane.
