JOHN HARMON HUSBAND DEAD.

Saffordville, Dec. 21. - John Harmon Husband died at his home in Saffordville Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. He had been sick two weeks, but had improved during the last few days.
Mr. Husband was born in Saline county on November 2, 1873. for 45 years he had been a farmer in Chase county. On October 14, 1903, he was married to Miss Nellie Deitrich of Grandview. About 4 1/2 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Husband moved from their farm into Saffordville, and for four years Mr. Husband had been caretaker of the Toledo Township High school.
Mr. Husband was a Spanish American war veteran, and since 1902 had been a member of the Grandview Methodist church.
Surviving are Mrs. Husband; a daughter, Helen Husband, of the home; a son, Harold Husband, of Chanute; a brother, Charles H. Husband, of Olathe; a sister, Mrs. Will Stegeman, of Hope; and a granddaughter, Miss Blanche Husband, of Chanute.
Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Grandview church. Rev. J. A. Pratt, former Saffordville pastor now at Reading, and Rev. H. O. Scott, pastor of the Saffordville Methodist church, will conduct the services. A military funeral will be conducted by members of the Harry Enster camp, No. 16, of the Spanish American war veterans. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill cemetery.
