Gary Lee Miles, Sr., 62, of New Cumberland, passed away at his home. He was born April 20, 1955, in Tyrone, PA the son of the late John Miles and Emma (Barto) Beistline.
Gary retired from the Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support Distribution, New Cumberland and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #109 in Mechanicsburg. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, and block shoots. He enjoyed attending flea markets and previously was an antique dealer.
Gary is survived by one son, Gary L. Miles, Jr. of York; one daughter, Chelsie D. Markel and her husband Derek of Dillsburg; two sisters, Lorie Thomas of Pittsburgh, Cathy Cowher of Tyrone; and two grandsons, Quintin and Aiden Miles.
Memorial services will be held Friday, February 9, 2018, at 6:00 pm in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. A visitation will be held Friday from 5-6 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Bald Eagle Cemetery in Tyrone at the discretion of the family.
