In April 1934, in Chatfield Minnesota, Patricia Payne was born to Frances and Norman Payne. She attended school in Chatfield, and went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota in 1956,
the same year she also married Larry Ferguson. Together, they made a home in Rochester, where they built a family of 5 children – Timothy (Laura) Ferguson, Katy (Paul) Higby, Jack Ferguson, Jane (Scott) Hallett, and Tom (Jennifer) Ferguson. Pat also had 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
Pat was Master Gardener, being a member of the Hosta Society, Rochester Garden Club, and the Minnesota Rose Society. Pat's gardens welcomed neighbors and friends alike.
Quilting was another passion, having won several awards for her craftmanship.
In addition, she was active in as a volunteer at Mayo Clinic and St John's Church.
The memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday September 12, 2020 at Pax Christi Church in Rochester.
