BENJAMIN R. ARAMBULA, 82, a lifelong resident of Lordsburg passed away Tuesday July 28, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday August 28, 2020 at 10:30 in the morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Jude Okonkwo officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.

Benjamin was born May 28, 1938 in Lordsburg to Benjamin and Flora (Reyes) Arambula. He was a miner and had worked in the local mining industry until his retirement. Benjamin was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed being in nature whether cutting wood, hunting or spending time with his family. He loved his dogs and especially his beloved Chicago Bears.

Benjamin is survived by his wife Ofelia of the home; sons, Benjie Arambula and wife Karla of Green Valley, AZ, Michael Arambula of Ohio; brothers, Amado Arambula of Bell, CA, Rudy Arambula (Berna) of Lordsburg, Raul Arambula Sr. (Odelia) of Woodland, CA; sisters, Celestina De La Riva of Alamogordo, Alice Ramirez (Angel) of Lordsburg, and Flory Martinez of Bell, CA. Grandchildren are Reina, Maria, Elaine, Isaac, Anthony, Doreen, Naya, Benjamin Jr., Alexis, Noelle, Raul, Tadeo, and Bella; great grandchildren, Tre, Josiah, Marsella, Cedric, Benjamin, Jaeda, Alani, Andrea, Andre, Weston, Mark, Xavier, Taliana, Alana, and Neaveh; 1 great great grandson Liam; and his caregivers Victor and Cassie Arambula. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Sylvia Rodriguez, sisters, Isabel Galvan and Mica Esquivel and brothers Nick and Martin Arambula.

Pallbearers will be Raul Arambula Sr., Benjamin D. Arambula, Nick Arambula, Rudy Arambula Jr., Steven Arambula, and Cedric Arambula.
