He touched many lives through his hobbies and volunteer work. Paul was known for his big personality and caring heart as he and his late wife, Shirley Harvey of 63 years, volunteered for many organizations, such as Our Lady's Catholic Church and Hospice. Paul was known as a great storyteller, jokester, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with family and friends. His home was the heart of the family during holidays and special events as he was surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Paul was a loving husband, friend, father, grandfather and great grandfather as he gave of himself and expected nothing in return.
Paul will be missed deeply by family, friends and is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Angela (nee Bimslager) Harvey; brothers Fred James (the late Dorothy) Harvey, William Harvey (the late Mary), Gerald Ray (the late Frances) Harvey, and Talmage (the late Marge) Harvey; and sister Oleta Marie Taylor.
He is survived by his sons, Steve (Terry) Harvey of Bonne Terre, MO, Michael (Carla) Harvey of Festus, MO, and Dave (Christina) Harvey of Fenton, MO, daughters, Sharon (Dewey) Dykes of Fayetteville, AR and Karen (Andrew) Brown of St. Louis, MO; brother Chuck Harvey (the late Joan); brother Raymond Joseph (Stella) Harvey of St. Louis, MO, sister Margaret (Roger) Davis of De Soto, MO, grandchildren Kyle, Taylor, Cameron, Jaclyn, Sara, Kelly, Dewey, Danielle, Lee, Caitlin, Kevin, Connor, David, Jessica and Melissa; and great-grandchildren Hudson, Maddox, Savannah, Blake, Faye, Beau, James, Kendyl, Landry, Lane, Cooper and Soren.
