Delois Fern Honeycutt, 69, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2005, at 12:21 p.m. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Delois was born on April 30, 1935, in Howards Ridge, MO. She was the third daughter and fifth child of Chancey and Ola Clayton. Delois was raised on a farm in Howards Ridge and lived a very happy childhood with her three brothers and two sisters. Delois was very knowledgeable for her age. At the age of 16, she graduated from Gainesville High School in Gainesville, MO. From there, she went on to do great things with her life. Delois retired after working 191/2 years as a Policy Service Processor for the Farmers Insurance Group. During her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, needlework, and spending time with her many grandchildren. Delois especially loved the Lord and life. She simply enjoyed sharing them with her loved ones. Delois was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Jesse, Charlie, and Frank Clayton, and her son Stanley Mark Honeycutt. She is survived by two sisters, Maxine Smith, Howards Ridge, and Geneva Marrotta, Cleveland, OH; daughter Cynthia Hull and son-in-law Christopher Hull, Springfield, MO; her three sons, Marty Honeycutt, Kansas City, KS, Kevin Honeycutt, Theodosia, MO, and Brian Honeycutt, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren Melinda, Sara, Tara, Tessa, Jessie, and Jace Hull, of Springfield, MO, and James, Benjamin, Thomas, and Joseph Honeycutt, of Kansas City, KS; and many nieces and nephews. Delois also leaves numerous relatives and friends behind. Visitation services for Delois took place Monday, April 11 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, MO. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 12 at the funeral home. Burial will follow immediately after the funeral services. Delois will be buried next to her son Stanley Martin Honeycutt at Friends Cemetery near Theodosia, MO. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Kansas City area.
