Laura Gayle (Johnson) Howard, who went by Gayle, was born on February 18, 1952 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Rupert Harold Johnson and Dorothy Nell (Sites) Johnson. She died on August 24, 2020 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Gayle grew up in Chickasha and attended Chickasha Public Schools and then attended the Canadian Valley Technology Center.
On August 18, 1987, she married David Roger Howard in Chickasha.
Gayle was a very hard worker. She was a caring person that took care of her home, children and grandchildren and she always remembered each one's birthday.
She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband David Howard in 2019; her maternal grandparents and her paternal grandparents, whom she had cared for intensely for many years, attending to all their needs.
Survivors include her children William Michael Ryans, Dianna Renay Gates of Chickasha and Danny Heskett of Crescent; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Tommy Delk of Ninnekah; brother Arnold Johnson of Cement; grandchildren Lisa Heskett, Victoria Heskett, Kinzi Joe Ryans, Doolen James Ryans, Daniel Gates, Christopher Gates, Laura Gates, Katelyn Heskett, Abbie Heskett, Kolby Heskett and Bryson Heskett; numerous great-grandchildren and other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
