Wanda Matilda Thomas, 76, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 4, 1943, in Lebanon, Kentucky, the daughter of Jacob Harvey and Mary Esma Virginia Downs.
She worked for many years as a district manager for the salons at Bacons. She was also a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church. Wanda loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Detherage; sister, Bernice Geneva Cambron; and great-granddaughter, Whitley Ski.
Left to cherish her loving memory are her loving husband of 60 years, Joseph Thomas; children, Darrell Thomas (Julie), Timothy Thomas (Terrie), Robert Thomas (Marilyn), Deborah Thomas, and Joseph Thomas (Rachel); grandchildren, Randall, Kyle, Dustin, Brittany, Travis, Bethany, Evan, and Maranda; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Virginia Ann Spalding, Grace Gannon, Carol Jean Smith, Betty Gardner, and Marvin Detherage; and a special niece, Vicki McGlone.
Funeral services for Wanda will be at 10 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, burial will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Lebanon. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Friday, August 28 at the funeral home.
