Ann Wallace Rose, 77 of Mesquite, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of August 25, 2020. Ann was the youngest of 12 children, born and raised in Farmersville, until later in her teens when the family moved to Garland where she graduated from Garland High School. She met and married Arthur Rose with whom she had three daughters, Lisa, Lori and Leslie. She was a dutiful and loving mother to her children however, after her husband's untimely passing at a young age she also took on the role of sole provider for her family. Ann worked hard without complaint to care for her family often working two jobs. Eventually she found employment with JC Penney where she built a long career, finally retiring from there in 2008. Ann lived courageously whether it was helicoptering to a Dallas Cowboy game, ziplining in Belize or skydiving in her 60's, she lived life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her big heart which she freely shared with everyone who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Claud and Etta Wallace, her husband Art and nine of her brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sisters Susie Martinez of Jacksonville, Florida and Mary Williams of Garland, her best friend and companion Jim Rafferty of Mesquite, her children Lisa Stout and David Tipton of Richardson, Lori and Mike Alvarez of San Antonio, Leslie and Byron Johnson of Rowlett and her three grandchildren Jay Rose of San Antonio, Meagan Stout of Richardson and Tyler Stout of Richardson.

Services will be held at the Hurst's Baker-Fielder Funeral Home on Friday August 28 at 3 PM followed by a short graveside service and interment at the Farmersville IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home at 2 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Ann's name to the Alzheimer's Association at the link below.
