Daniel Wayne Allen, age 61, passed away at Reid Health on August 19, 2020. He was born December 2, 1958, to Virgil and Katie Allen in New Paris, Ohio.

Danny had many various jobs throughout his life, they included being a farm rancher, truck driver, crop duster and an aluminum technician. He had traveled across America, staying a street person most of his life. Many special thanks to the New Life Day Center in Lexington, Kentucky, for lodging him for many years. He had resided in Richmond, Indiana, for the past fifteen years residing with Sam Allen, Milda Ray, Morgan Ray and Houston Richardson until his last days. He was and will always be our favorite uncle.

Daniel had one child; she was born Nicole Marie Allen, and would be approximately 30 years old. After Nicole's mother's passing, her maternal grandparents changed her name and moved her locating somewhere in Ohio. The family and Daniel has tried to find her for many years.

Daniel leaves to cherish his memory, his nieces: Milda Ray (Houston Richardson) and Beth Estrada; grandnieces: Anasia Ray and Amiah Ray; nephews: Sammy Allen, Terry Ray, Jimmy Ray, Terry W. Golff and Shannon (Nathen) Allen; great nieces: Morgan Ray, Brittany Foster, Deserii Miller and Crisi Ray; great nephews: James Lear III, David Frame, Kealen Ray, Chaz Richardson, Juston Ray and Eric Ray; brothers: Eb Allen, Hayes Allen and Dennis Allen; cousin: Dana Lynn Shaffer; and a host of other relatives and friends.

There was a very special place in Daniel's heart for Amiah Ray, Anasia Ray, Adream Ray, Cadien and Zaevin Payne, Scarlett Frame, James Lear IV, Alayna Evans, Kora Ray, Landon and Audrey McClannahan because they loved him the most.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by brother: Sam Allen: sisters: Marie, Dorothy and Irene; and two nieces: Tina Ray and Kathy Ray Mays.

The family wishes to give special thanks to good people who loved him, Edith, Don, Sherri, Kim and Dale. Also special thanks to the following business for allowing donations to be taken, Southside Liquor, Crosstown, Salvation Army and Papa Joe's. Also special thanks to Community Family Funeral Home.
