James Kenneth Jarrell Sr.. 79, of Mabscott, went to be with Lord on Tuesday, August 25th, 2020 at his home following a long illness. Born August 8th, 1941 in Ameagle WV, he was the son of the late Van Buren and Minnie "Hodge" Jarrell.

James was the last surviving child of ten. An Air Force veteran serving from 1960 until 1968, he went on to work as a West Virginia coal miner for over 38 years.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Shirley A. Jarrell, one son, James Kenneth Jarrell Jr., and one daughter Tina Marie Gadomski.

James is survived by; one daughter, Susan Davis and her husband David M Davis of Mabscott, one grandson, David (Scotty) Davis and his wife Chanda Of Mabscott, four granddaughters Kessa B Davis of Beckley, Hannah Gadomski of Oak Hill, Cassie Lilly of Lewisburg, and Tiffney Johnson of Beckley. One surviving sister-in-law Doris Kincaid and her family, as well as many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews that also survive.

Graveside rites will be held at Blueridge Memorial Gardens at 11 AM Friday, August 28th, 2020 with Pastor Okey Slate and Chaplin Danny Kincaid officiating followed by Military Funeral Honors.
