Funeral services for Margaret Anne "Peggy" Berry, 78, will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Roseneath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr. Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Rd. Shreveport. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Officiating the service will be Reverend McKee Williams and Pastor Tim Steed.

Peggy passed away peacefully, Monday, August 24, 2020, at her home in Keithville, Louisiana following a courageous battle with leukemia.

Peggy was born on January 15, 1942, in Shreveport. She was raised in Shreveport and graduated from Byrd High School. Peggy married Charles Berry, Sr. on January 14, 1961. Together they raised three children, Charlie, Lynda and Carla. She drove a school bus for Grawood Christian School and Caddo Parish Schools where she retired with 30 years of service. She was very active with the 4-H club, Farm Bureau, Keithville Homemakers and the State Fair of Louisiana. She and her family were founding members of Shreveport Bible Church. She is described by her five grandchildren as "THE best Mimi, ever!" Later in life she especially loved to travel. Her favorite places to visit were Atlanta, GA, Charleston, S.C. and Tokyo, Japan.

Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles; parents, Verna Rhoades Smith Raley and Alfred Raley; biological father, Robert Smith and her sister, Patsy Myers. She is survived by her son, Charles Berry, Jr.; daughters, Lynda Horne and husband, J.D., Carla Fajardo and husband Brad; grandchildren, Courtney Cummings, Dr. Quinn Cummings, and wife Mallory, Codi Garcia and husband Adam, Kristen Sherrill and husband Will, Katelyn Fajardo, Colby Horne, and wife Paige, and Cameron Horne; great-grandchild Ford Cummings, as well as, her mother in law, Velma Lightfoot, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her brother, Preston Raley, and sisters Mary Benefield and Sue McAllister, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
