Myra Deal Robinson, 88, passed away on August 24, 2020, at The Hearth At Franklin, in Franklin, Tennessee, where she had lived for the past year.

Myra Deal Robinson was born at home in White Bluff, Tennessee, on May 10, 1932. Myra graduated from Bellevue High School in 1950 where she played on the girls' basketball team. Her quote in the high school annual sums up her life: "It matters not how long we live, but How!" She married James (Jim) Preston Robinson on June 19, 1953 when she was twenty-one years old. They settled in Nashville and had one son, Rodney Preston Robinson.

She worked for thirty-three years in the office of R&S Printing, the company started by her husband and LeeRoy Satterwhite. Myra and Jim loved traveling and especially enjoyed trips to Florida with friends and family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining. Myra and Jim were married for forty years until he passed away at age sixty-three. She later married Charles Eugene Jones, to whom she was married for fourteen years until his passing. Myra enjoyed playing golf, eating at Sperry's, celebrating Christmas, and doting on her son and grandchildren.

She was a member of the Cumberland Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and Nashville Chapter #1 United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a faithful member of the Brookmeade Church of Christ, Harpeth Hills Church of Christ, and Bellevue Church of Christ. Myra was a vivacious and lovely woman, and a wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Douglas and Ina Evans Deal; her five brothers L.B., Evans, Harold, Lloyd, and Eugene Deal; her infant daughter Virginia Robinson; and her beloved husband Jim Robinson.

She is survived by her son Rodney Preston Robinson, daughter-in-law Emily Davis Robinson, granddaughter Rebecca Robinson Vaughn and husband Luke Justin Vaughn, grandson Davis Preston Robinson and wife Janelle Weir Robinson, and her nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Marshall – Donnelly – Combs Funeral Home. A private burial will follow at the Sears Cemetery in Pegram, Tennessee.
