Elliott Murl Little was born October 2, 1927 in Strong City, Oklahoma to Lucile Francis (Smith) and John Wesley Little. He passed away Tuesday, August 25th, 2020 at his home south of Cheyenne Oklahoma at the age of 92 years, 10 months and 23 days.

Murl grew up in Strong City, Oklahoma where he attended school. At the age of 20, he was married to Gertrude "Marie" (Livingston) with the consent of their parents on September 30, 1948. From this union three sons were born, Steven Elliott, Terry Lynn and Wayne Michael Little.

Murl and Marie traveled working on ranches, raising cattle, mending fences and breaking horses. Murl and Marie owned and operated a dairy farm for over 18 years from 1964 - 1982. Murl later began working at Cheyenne Schools as a janitor and continued until his retirement. Even after his retirement he continued to raise and run cattle until the last days. In Murl's spare time he enjoyed riding horses, wagon train rides with the Western Oklahoma Wagon Train Group and serving as the trail master. Murl also enjoyed tending cattle and spending time playing dominoes with his family and friends. Murl and Marie were lifetime and faithful members of the First Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; one son, Steve Little and one brother Robert "Bob" Little.

Murl is survived by his two sons, Terry Little and wife, Linda, and Wayne Little and wife, Shelly all of Cheyenne, OK; grandchildren, Justin Elliott and Amber Nicol Little, both of Cheyenne, OK, Dennis Little, Elk City, OK, Melda Wright, Elk City, OK, Jamie Farrell, Elk City, OK, Joey Hoffman, Elk City, OK; 2 brothers, J.W. Little, Cheyenne, OK and Lloyd Little, Oklahoma City, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Cheyenne First Baptist Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be at the Cheyenne Cemetery under the direction of Chris Whinery and the staff of Affordable Cremation Service-West. Condolences can be made online at www.classicfunerals.com
