Donald L. "Chris" Christensen was born to his loving caring parents Leo James and Edna Marie (Schieldt) Christensen on Thursday August 16, 1934 at Stoughton, Dane County Wisconsin. My research found no information on Chris' childhood or elementary schooling. Chris was a 1952 graduate of Edgerton High, Rock County. Donald attended the University of Wisconsin of LaCrosse to receive a bachelor degree. Chris was a veteran of the US Army. Chris was united in marriage to Jean Lord on Wednesday June 22, 1955 at Dubuque, Dubuque County Iowa, the couple were blessed with two sons and two daughters over the years of their marriage. Christ was employed by Turner High at Beloit, Rock County, he was a Physical Education instructor. Christ taught Health Classes, he was a head football and track coach. Christ was the Turner transportation director and drove their school buses. Christ retired in 1994, in his retirement he installed Beloit Memorial Hospital Lifeline plus volunteered for Meals on Wheels for a total of twenty years. Christ was on the board of directors for Meals on Wheels, he was a past president for the Beloit Evening Lions Club and a past president for Turner Education Association (TEA). Christ was a member of Second Congregational Church where he served as the past president for the Deacons. Christ was also a member of Wisconsin Retired Teachers Association and National Educators Association (NEA). Chris sadly passed on Monday July 2, 2018 at Beloit Memorial Hospital at the age of 83 years, 10 months, 16 days which does not include his last day, he lived a total of 30,636 days. Christ's visitation was held on Saturday July 7, 2018 at 9:30a until the time of his funeral service at 12:30p at the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home of Beloit.
