Born in Scotland, South Dakota, he was the son of Peter and Anna (Polaske) Graber. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Lola Ferguson in 1956 and she preceded him in death. Later he married Opal Parker. He retired after 60 years in the Carpentry profession with Local Union No. 329. He was active with the Boy Scouts, being a leader with Post No. 150 for seven years and South Leader with Explorer Post No. 110 for eight years. He took 12 canoe trips with the Boy Scouts to Canada and many times floated the Illinois River with them. He passed away at the age of 94 in Muskogee.
