While Nurse Pizey was attending Mrs. Wegener, of Colton avenue, Magill, today, the husband, Johan Heinrich Wegener, 78, collapsed and died. Earlier in the morning Mr. Wegener had complained that he was not feeling well. He got out of bed and dressed himself, however, and drank a cup of tea. Still feeling unwell, he went back to bed. Dr. Eustace Black, of Tranmere, was called in, but Mr. Wegener was dead when he arrived. Mr. Wegener, who was a retired farmer, suffered from a heart seizure three months ago. His wife underwent an operation some time ago, and Nurse Pizey has been attending her daily. Constable Nottage, of Magill, is preparing a report for the coroner." - Adelaide Mail, Saturday 12 August 1933, page 14
